Congratulations to CPRS Hamilton’s Two Newest APR Recipients!
After several months of studying, exam preparation and more than a few Tim Hortons coffees, CPRS Hamilton members Michael Marini, APR and Greg Medulun, APR have successfully completed their Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).
Michael is the Marketing Coordinator for the Economic Development & Real Estate Division of the
Planning & Economic Development Department for the City of Hamilton. Greg Medulun is the Director of Communications for the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort.
Both men reflected on the process and what they’ve gained from it. As Michael said, “The APR process is essential in gaining a greater understanding of the profession. The designation not only enhances your personal credibility as a seasoned practitioner, but illustrates the profession’s commitment to a standard of excellence for its practitioners.”
Greg observed that accreditation helps PR practitioners add value to their organization and develop a deeper understanding of public relations. He said, “For many, the PR profession finds us. We didn’t really go to school for it. But if you leave it at that and work without any academic rigor, the profession will leave you behind. PR is about adding material value to your company’s bottom line; learn how. Challenge yourself to earn an APR. You won’t regret it.”
Join us on April 7th at the CPRS Hamilton Pinnacle Awards as we celebrate Greg’s and Michael’s success!
CPRS Hamilton has one of the highest accreditation rates of any CPRS member society in Canada. Join the ongoing success story and find out how to earn your APR.
