Oakville, ON June 2010 - The National Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) is pleased to announce the winners of the Awards of Excellence, presented at the Annual National Conference Gala dinner on June 15 in Regina). Established in 1962, the CPRS Awards of Excellence salute outstanding public relations campaigns, internal and external programs and tactics by public relations professionals. This year, a total of 134 submissions were judged in 18 categories of current PR practice. These awards are exclusive to CPRS members and are a tremendous source for profile and prestige for individuals and teams as they showcase Canada’s best public relations talent at work.
Submissions from across Canada in are judged by public relations peers against similar work and against the latest academic literature on communications excellence.
CPRS also provides Major Awards which recognize exceptional involvement in the profession, and are Canada’s most coveted public relations honours for individuals and Member Societies. Unlike the Awards of Excellence where members submit their own work, Major Award candidates are nominated by their peers.
