Allyson has also worked in the not-for-profit sector in the areas of education and government for more than fifteen years. She sits on the board of directors of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and is division chair for Dundas. She is a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society, Rotary International, the Canadian Club, the Dundas Arts and Crafts Association, and the Dundas Neighbourhood United Way Committee.
