CPRS Hamilton Launches Trust Matters
To mark March Membership month 2015, CPRS Hamilton has launched ‘Trust Matters’. The initiative involves a series of activities to boost awareness of the important role PR professionals’ play in fostering trust and reputations that builds success.
The ‘Trust Matters’ will include development of a ‘trust matters’ blog and social media community outreach. The idea is to capitalize on the expertise of CPRS Hamilton members in the field of two-way communications, reputation management and public engagement.
Research, including the well-respected annual Edleman Trust Barometer shows a significant and persistent decline in public trust in business. Today’s consumer is ‘social’. They are very mindful of the ethics and business practices of the brands they choose. Now more than ever, ‘values-based’ decision- making companies and organizations must redouble their efforts to be clear, transparent, engaging and inclusive of stakeholders and their issues.
Trust is an asset that institutions must understand and build properly to be successful in today’s complex world. Trust is also an important factor in driving market acceptance of new business innovations.
If you are a member of our Chapter and you have insights on the role PR plays in trust-building and reputation management, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for informative content for our ‘Trust Matters’ Blog and other channels. Here is an opportunity to shine and to share as a professional communicator.
